The Bear Dens kicked off a wonderful new year with some awesome adventures and activities! The scouts quickly started off the year by earning the iconic, “Whittling Chip!”. The Bears learned knife safety, handling, and immediately began practicing with their new skills… and all Scouts began with the same number of fingers and toes that they started with! And what would Cub Scouts be without the outdoors? The Bears have been hiking, camping, and fishing all within the first month of the new year! Camping and fishing at Camp Wanocksett was a huge hit, with most of our Scouts catching (and releasing) 2 to 3 fish each – wow! The adventures will continue in October with some awesome trips and an opportunity or two to serve our community here in Acton. Happy Scouting!
