Twice per year Pack 1 performs a project to be helpful in our community, usually with a focus on the outdoors. This time the Scouts cleared a nature trail through the woods behind our Chartered Organization, The Church of the Good Shepherd. Armed with rakes, garden snips, and shears the Scouts reclaimed the trail. It started out so overgrown and leaf-covered that we had trouble finding it at first! The pack went the extra mile to line the edges of the train with fallen branches and logs to make it more permanent. We are always looking for outdoor projects that benefit the people our towns of Acton and Boxborough, feel free to reach out to Pack 1 if you have a need!
