Pack 1 rang in the New Year with a hearty campfire at Camp Acton. Two campfires actually, to comply with social distancing guidelines as well as to allow the younger scouts and older scouts to have fun in their own ways. There were some roaring fires to be seen, even colorful campfires enhanced by our Magic Crystals! Music, games, jokes, and stories kept us all laughing. And what would be a campfire without roasting marshmallows? Not just plain old marshmallows, but also roasted Peeps, which, if done well form a crackled brulée just like the finest French desserts. A fine Scouting evening in the woods, topped off by warm hot chocolate and warm friendships.
