Pack 1 participated in an Orienteering Adventure around the ABRSD campus! The activity was led by Troop 12, the Acton girls BSA Scout Troop. The goal was to use an orienteering course map to find as many of the checkpoints as possible in an hour. Pack 1 split up into several groups each with a couple Troop 12 Scout leaders in a friendly competition to see who could earn the most points. I’m not sure who won, but even the parents had fun scoring points with the UsynligO app which plays a satisfying victory tune as when you get close enough to the checkpoint. Troop 12 did an awesome job planning and leading this whole activity. It was a great opportunity for the Cub Scouts to interact with older Scouts. We ended with some Scouting-friendly rewards of the Dunkin’ Donuts variety for everyone who participated and we look forward to future orienteering adventures!
