On October 30th Acton-Boxborough Cub Scouts participated in its very first Trunk or Treat! This fun event was hosted by the Acton-Boxborough Family Network. We set up alongside many other local community organizations. Even Mr. Trashman was there! It was a super windy day and about half the fun was keeping our decorations from blowing away. In true Cub Scout fashion our “trunk” included a tent and a campfire as well as candles and neckerchief with all of the Cub Scout ranks. There was great community enthusiasm for this activity, we gave out 200 lollipops and 100 Cub Scout pencils. We got to meet so many families with young kids and had the chance to tell them about how much fun it is to be a Cub Scout. A special thanks to all the families who helped provide decorations and who staffed the trunk throughout this most blustery day.!
